Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and Certified Arborist to join our team as Branch Manager. In this role, you’ll combine strategic leadership with field expertise to oversee day-to-day operations, manage performance metrics, and drive profitability across our residential, commercial, and municipal tree care services. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and manage a team of arborists, climbers, and ground crew to deliver safe, efficient, and top-quality tree care services.
- Mentor and train team members, fostering a culture of professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.
Operations & Project Oversight
- Conduct on-site assessments and generate accurate estimates for tree removal, pruning, and plant health services.
- Oversee scheduling, equipment allocation, and resource planning to ensure efficient job execution.
- Perform routine job site visits to support field crews, ensure compliance with ANSI and OSHA safety standards, and provide hands-on guidance.
Client Relations & Sales
- Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships from project kickoff to completion.
- Assist in developing proposals and sales strategies for residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
Business Performance
- Maintain full P&L accountability, ensuring jobs are completed on time, on budget, and meet profitability goals.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), including safety metrics, job profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental practices, and internal policies.
- Promote a safety-first culture through regular audits, trainings, and equipment checks.
Requirements
- Certified Arborist (ISA or equivalent) – Required.
- 5 years of experience in arboriculture, including 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proven knowledge of tree biology, pruning techniques, disease diagnosis, and proper removals.
- Strong estimating and proposal development experience.
- Demonstrated success managing KPIs and P&L responsibilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in office and field settings.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
- Familiarity with bucket trucks, chippers, stump grinders, and aerial lifts.
