What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at Ferretti Search?
Our client is looking for a Safety Manager to join their growing team! Our client is flourishing in the Upstate as a security technology wiring and systems corporation, and they need your help to keep up the momentum.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to construction site operations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees, subcontractors, and vendors to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Lead investigations of safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety evaluations to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports, tracking key performance indicators and trends to present to management.
- Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and crew members to foster a proactive safety culture on all job sites.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare for potential emergencies.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes, continuously seeking ways to enhance safety performance.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Active OSHA 300 certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to analyze data and implement effective safety solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
