Manufacturing Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Metal Fabrication Technician to join our team at Ferry Machine Corporation. As a Metal Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for designing and developing CNC machining programs using Mastercam, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical knowledge and machining principles, with experience in precision measuring instruments and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Proficiency in Mastercam is required, but Solidworks experience is also acceptable.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop CNC machining programs using Mastercam
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Utilize calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate measurements
- Apply knowledge of GD&T to ensure precise and accurate machining
- Operate and troubleshoot milling machines
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop and implement CNC machining programs
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Maintain accurate records of machining programs and processes
