What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fervo Bedrock Program position at Fervo Energy?
Description
The Fervo Bedrock Program is crafted to create future geothermal leaders. Candidates will rotate through various departments, gaining comprehensive exposure to the development lifecycle and planning efforts. Upon program completion, participants will be placed on a team full-time based on their best fit and interests.
Geothermal development is inherently a complex, multidisciplinary effort spanning fields such as geology, engineering (reservoir, drilling & completions, surface facilities), finance, policy, energy markets, land, supply chain, and more. Alignment across each vertical is critical to the overall success of projects, and most Fervo employees are well-versed in the intricacies of other team functions through constant collaboration and company-wide “knowledge shares.” The Fervo Bedrock Program takes cross-functional learning a step further, allowing early career entrants to gain geothermal development experience from different functional groups in a full-time, dedicated role. This program is not a one-way street; candidates are fully expected to drive project delivery forward and improve processes within each functional team, irrespective of their background. Fervo strongly believes that specialized teams can benefit from fresh perspectives and a persistent curiosity to challenge paradigms.
The program spans all departments and includes four 6-month rotational assignments. Each rotation is tailored to your background and developmental goals, designed to challenge you, maximize your growth, and introduce you to Fervo Energy's breadth of functions. Program participants are assigned an Executive Sponsor who provides mentorship, guidance, and support.
This role does not have a predefined target profile or candidate background. Although the program is generally suited for recent graduates (undergraduate or graduate) seeking a full-time role, Fervo welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds with varied experiences and skill sets to apply.
