As a Recruiting Intern, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our recruitment efforts to grow the Festival Foods team. From sourcing and attracting top talent to ensuring a seamless candidate experience, you’ll gain firsthand exposure to the full recruitment cycle. This role is perfect for someone eager to develop their skills in posting job opportunities, coordinating interviews, participating in interviews, and collaborating with a team to deliver an exceptional brand experience to candidates.
What You’ll Do:
- Support and drive recruitment and hiring activities: Assist in sourcing, attracting, and identifying great talent to join the growing Festival Foods team.
- Post job opportunities: Maintain and update postings on the company Careers website, Handshake, Indeed, Job Center of Wisconsin, and other recruitment sources to attract qualified candidates.
- Engage with candidates: Pre-screen applicants to ensure they align with guest-focused values and conduct initial phone interviews.
- Organize interviews and recruitment events: Coordinate candidate scheduling to deliver a professional and welcoming experience for candidates and hiring managers.
- Utilize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Update job openings, monitor applicant statuses, and assist with recruitment workflows.
- Represent Festival Foods at job fairs and networking events: Partner with HR Managers, colleges and high schools to coordinate career fair registration for organization
- Support compliance and record-keeping: Assist with background check compliance, PCI onboarding reporting, and maintaining accurate recruitment records.
- Maintain regular attendance and provide adequate notice for any occasional absences.
- Perform additional duties as needed, supporting the overall success of the Guest Services team.
What You’ll Bring:
- Enthusiasm for learning about recruiting and human resources.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for candidate engagement and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to professionally represent Festival Foods via phone and in person
- Project management concepts and organization skills are strongly preferred
- Critical Thinking; using logic and reasoning to identify and rectify potential issues
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset to support various recruitment initiatives.
- Pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field.
