Festivities is a full-service event décor provider. We offer event design & conception, event décor creation and rental, tent rental, linen, and chair cover rental, event draping, event lighting, theme props, custom prop creation, catering rental needs, and fresh floral design.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Check event rental software to be up to date on the most current event and logistics information
  • Read all upcoming contract for the week, make a plan to execute, identifying unclear elements, gather a list of tools and supplies needed for the event execution
  • Oversee and participate in loading of vehicles for upcoming events
  • Use ipads to mark rental items as “loaded”
  • Arrive onsite, match room set to contract and diagram(s) in rental software
  • Hold crew meeting to assign onsite roles and walk the event space with the crew
  • Participate in the install, while observing other areas being installed, course correcting as needed
  • Act as main point of contact for the client and venue
  • Troubleshoot all onsite challenges, should they arise
  • Ensure team is staying on schedule
  • Identify and implement efficiency
  • Ensure photos are taken of each event and that the items ordered match the items installed
  • Communicate specifics to the strike team
  • Participate in the striking of events, ensuring all items are accounted for, packaged and loaded correctly
  • Assist in the placing rental items back into the correct location once recovered
  • Provide positive accountable leadership to team members on events
  • Actively train new team members on elements of events
  • Support department and company leadership in finding operational improvements
  • Overseeing Late Night Strike (shifts starting after 7 PM) on a rotating bases
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to stand, stoop, and bend at the waist and knees for extended periods.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and solve problems proactively.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs regularly throughout the shift.
  • History of building positive relationships with venue partners and facility managers.
  • Ability to conserve and protect company assets.
  • Maintain a clear and organized work environment.
  • Required to stand and walk for extended periods, often 8 hours per day.
  • Work involves frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and kneeling.
  • Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all Minnesota weather conditions year-round (extreme heat, cold, rain, snow).
  • May be exposed to variable temperatures between indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Must be able to safely navigate various terrain including stairs, ramps, unpaved surfaces, and uneven ground.
  • Manual dexterity required for handling delicate décor items and equipment.
  • May require working at heights on secure ladders or lifts.
  • Ability to maintain balance while carrying items.
  • May be exposed to typical event environment elements including but not limited to: dust, pollen, and other airborne particles; various cleaning solutions and materials; variable noise levels; variable lighting conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

  • Event management or production experience in event decor, event rental, event tenting, AV, convention services, or related
  • Leadership skills – problem solver, takes ownership, efficient, task/detail-oriented
  • An autonomous worker with decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Keen eye for detail and design
  • Ability to pivot based on overall look and feel of event
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain vital information
  • Dedicated individual who is enthusiastic and is excited about helping to elevate a company to the next level
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible individual with a passion for the event industry
  • Basic knowledge of Google Workspace (Google docs, sheets, and email)
  • Understanding and excitement surrounding the small business culture
  • Ability to lift and move items, up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, stoop, and bend at the waist and knees for extended periods

Commitment Overview
Individuals interested in this position should have a good grasp of the event industry and/or want to learn more about the event industry, and understand the time commitments/schedule associated with this industry. The candidate will be expected to have a flexible schedule in order to adjust hours to accommodate evening and weekend events/industry functions/tradeshows, as needed.

  • Background Checks & Driving Requirements: A valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required for job-related travel. Employment is contingent upon passing any necessary background checks.
