Position Overview

The primary role of the Project Manager is to assist the Senior Project Manager and Wireless team to oversee and manage the design, implementation and installation of all wireless and cabling related services and systems from sales hand-off to completion. The Project Manager will coordinate all communication with owner / construction personnel with regard to timing of project and scheduling of all crews needed for each system. PM will coordinate communications with Sales, Service Management, Network Engineering and our NOC.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Support and promote the mission, values and principles of Powernet.
• Coordinate with appropriate Powernet departments for design of systems and services for each job including:
• Cell Booster
• Public Safety boosters
• Structured Cabling
• Private LTE network deployments and other wireless initiatives where needed
• Attend hand-off meeting with Sales
• Conduct project status update meetings as needed
• Conduct or schedule site surveys for all products under the Project Manager scope of work
• Create project timelines and coordinate all implementation efforts
• Work with Finance and sales to gain full understanding of financial model for each project
• Hire subcontractors as needed to complete portions of work when we don’t have adequate resources and coordinate this with Finance and Sales as needed.
• Frequently use organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage projects with varying degrees of priority
• Collect and research data, identify relationships and dependencies, summarize data and findings, and generate reports
• Provide documentation of design and as-builts upon completion
• Train NOC employees and support staff if required
• Assist switch engineering team with large IP PBX solution design and implementation
• Assist direct sales team with Allworx sales engineering and pre-sales consultant
  
  

Requirements

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or 5 years experience in related field
• 3 years experience in a construction related role either as prime or sub preferably with Division 27 work
• Experience engaging with multiple levels of management both internally and externally.
• Telecom experience helpful but at least basic knowledge of voice, data and wireless systems required
• Travel required
• iBwave experience helpful but not required
• Working Conditions
• The duties of this position are split between Field and Office. Field work will require moderate to heavy amounts of travel and the ability to perform occasional installation, adjustment and maintenance of wireless equipment. It requires the ability to use hand tools and operate field equipment, climb ladders and to work various hours. It also requires the ability to work in various climate conditions and various geographical terrains.
