1st $500.00: after 30 days of employment
2nd $500.00: after 6 months of employment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects building daily with walk around a through facility. Reports and documents any deficiencies.
- Performs maintenance service and building repairs requested from daily work orders.
- Maintains updated chemicals list in the SDS log book, and ensures that all new chemicals have proper labeling and documentation.
- Coordinates the scheduled maintenance of agency vehicles according to the vehicles operating manual, including oil changes, tires replacement and rotation, tune ups, etc. This also involves exterior washing and polishing, dusting, washing windows, and vacuuming. Weekly fueling of the company vehicles if necessary.
- Maintains log books for all vendor/ contractor services.
- Inspects electrical, heating, cooling, plumbing and carpentry throughout the facility and reports needed repairs to the supervisor. Monitors all service repairs and assist in work being performed by outside vendor/contractors.
- Maintains monthly checks of building HVAC systems such as motors, fans, wiring, burners and unit filters.
- Schedules and completes a Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Maintains interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
- Performs carpentry; maintains all doors, jambs and all hardware associated with. To include any automatic devices for latching and security.
- Paints/ drywall repair; patches, tapes, primes and paints damaged or new as needed. Caulks windows, doors, showers and lavatory fixtures as required.
- Performs Plumbing duties i.e. repairs/ replaces faucets, sink traps, shower valves, supply lines. Completes any necessary repairs to toilets/ urinals. Electrical; Bulb and ballast replacement, light switch and receptacle and fixture repair or replace. Bath exhaust repair or replacement. Or any other light electrical duties.
- HVAC; General knowledge of function slip unit systems to assist with outside contractor for repairs and replacement.
- Inspect gutter and roof systems, Clean gutters 2 times yearly. Report any deficiencies.
- Manages all keys and key systems throughout facility.
- Maintains an organized off site file storage facility. Retrieve patient files per the request of counselors.
- Checks for safety hazards around building and grounds. Perform repairs of any findings such as tripping hazards, sharp edges, unsafe bricks, tree limbs, or broken sidewalks. Inspects electrical cords on equipment, replaces unsafe cords or appliances.
- Removes snow and ice from walkways during inclement weather. Ensures walkways are kept clear by spreading ice melt or rock salt.
- Checks for any other safety hazards and reports any deficiencies.
- Checks and maintains monthly temperatures of sinks and showers in patient rooms.
- Coordinates with biohazard pick-up of make ready containers from nursing.
- Maintains inventory control for cost effective operation such as maintenance material, supplies, and repair parts. Reviews inventory and re order for proper upkeep. Maintains janitorial supplies such as toiletries, chemicals, equipment.
Work Location: 120 N Eleventh St, Springfield, IL 62703
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm with a rotating Saturday. Hours
may vary depending upon agency needs, with the ability to work
weekends. Must work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Salary range $19.00-$ 20 per hour based on experience
