Because we are a leader in the direct mail space, investing in technology and resources to facilitate innovative ideas, and we are looking to add a Warehouse Supervisor to our team.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for providing direction to the warehouse team and for managing the inventory supply chain to maximize efficiency and reduce expenses. The Warehouse Supervisor will focus on managing outbound and intra-company freight loads to achieve the lowest freight cost possible while maintaining on-time and safety metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute deliveries between the Milton Press and Lettershop
- Willingness to work a flexible shift in order to help with mid-day rush of inbound and outbound loads
- Manage inbound appointment schedule for the Milton Press and Lettershop
- Manage component moves between facilities
- Assist in loading outbound trailers when necessary
- Respond to inventory inquiries from Account Managers
- Manage the disposition list, ensuring that the proper components are pulled from inventory and disposed of appropriately
- Utilize over the road drivers for deliveries to other Freedom facilities to ensure that products arrive at the correct destination in a timely manner
- Monitor production’s needs, arrange stocking and restocking of components.
- Ensure both human and physical assets are used efficiently
- Prepare and distribute inventory and logistics reports as necessary
- Handle day to day supervision of Warehouse employees including training new employees, scheduling, approving time off requests, addressing developmental and performance issues and completing annual performance evaluations
Qualifications:
- Ability to quickly assess situations and propose solutions
- Collaborative work-style, able to be an effective member of the team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using computers, various software programs and radio frequency scanners
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Valid drivers license (non-CDL)
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma
- 3-5 years of experience in a logistics support role
