What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman position at FIBA Technologies, Inc.?
Summary
Over see’s production floor and schedules production for all shop personal, performs in process quality checks, ensures shop organization
Job Duties:
- Maintain production schedule and be able to put plans in place and complete plan on time
- Establish priorities and sequence to maintain an even process flow of product from tear down to assembly to blast to paint to final inspection.
- Maintain a clean work area and cleaning schedule for shop personal.
- Work with other departments in coordinating efforts such as maintenance, quality control and engineering
- Ability to keep communication between a two shift operations and report to everything to the Plant Manager
- A working understanding of the lean manufacturing system and operations, as well as ISO standard practices.
- Ability to enforce rules and procedures, and document
- Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
- Work with QC to implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
- Reviews and enforces all Safety regulations.
- Experience with DOT,ASME preferred.
- Experience with welding equipment preferred.
Job Requirements:
- Preferred, but not necessary manufacturing experience in heat treating, steel, iron milling.
- Preferred, 5-8 years experience working with government regulations (DOT,ASME,ISO, etc) and supervisory and people development skills.
- 4 to 5 years supervision in the manufacturing area.
