Job Overview:
The Quality Engineer will focus on monitoring product quality, defining critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters, and developing and implementing quality policies and systems. The Quality Engineer will do technical writing, process documentation, data analysis, and root cause analysis of quality issues. This role requires a proactive, business-minded professional, capable of working cross-functionally with production, engineering, and sales teams to ensure quality excellence.
We expect every engineer to use their talents and expertise to drive our production facilities to world-class operations across all metrics through daily continuous improvement and large scale project design and execution. With the facility's production capacity and product range continuously expanding, there will be a constant stream of new and exciting projects to lead.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor product quality throughout the production process, ensuring adherence to critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and systems to meet industry and customer standards.
Create and maintain technical documentation, quality reports, and process documentation to support quality initiatives.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of quality issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Work closely with suppliers, production teams, and engineering to ensure compliance with industrial quality and supplier standards.
Utilize data analysis tools to track quality trends, identify potential risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO, AS, or other industry quality standards.
Collaborate with sales teams to address customer concerns, ensuring quality expectations are met.
Act quickly to address quality concerns, ensuring minimal impact on production and customer satisfaction.
Promote a culture of quality and accountability, providing training and guidance to production staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
2 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or process improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of industrial quality standards, supplier standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, 8D Problem-Solving).
Proficiency in statistical analysis, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and quality data interpretation.
Excellent technical writing skills for documenting processes, quality reports, and policies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple departments.
Ability to take quick and decisive action to resolve quality issues efficiently.
High levCertification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
Experience with APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality management.
Familiarity with ERP and quality management software (e.g., SAP, Minitab, or similar tools).
Experience in high-volume manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or regulated industries.el of integrity, accountability, and business acumen in decision-making.
All other knowledge, skills, and abilities that are reasonably aligned with this role, such as strong project management and organizational skills, time management skills, problem solving skills, ability to use necessary computer software, etc.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Periods of working on feet and using tools while evaluating manufacturing equipment.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required for safety.
