Position/Title: Maintenance Technician

General Purpose: The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Job Duties: (duties include, but are not limited to, the following)
- Perform electrical and mechanical duties and responsibilities, including, but not limited to, mechanical, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair for production machines.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all Production PLC’s, database systems, control networks, instrumentation, and electrical systems (480V and below). Provide assistance with maintenance modifications and improvements as needed.?
- Knowledge of 480 volt, three phase, and 120 VAC, 24VDC control and power systems
- Work in tandem with IT, Engineering as necessary to solve difficult technical issues
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Maintain 5S standards of assigned areas and observe company policies at all times.
- Knowledge of fabrication or welding is a plus

Qualification Requirements:

- Safety – Proven ability to recognize safety as a high priority
- 4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience; strong mechanical, electrical and industrial skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics, electrical prints, wiring diagrams, and nameplates
- Mechanical knowledge preferred
- Must be 18 yrs. of age
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong orientation to detail
- Prior experience reflecting positive maintenance results preferred
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, up to 10 hours
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb stairs and reach with hands and arms
- Must have the ability to climb on and off equipment and ladders
- Typical vision abilities include close up for computer work, distance vision and ability to focus
