Position Overview :

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within the warehouse. This role involves operating forklifts, driving company vehicles, and collaborating with shipping, receiving, and inventory teams to ensure accurate and timely material flow. Attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a clean driving record are essential for success. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
Transport goods using company vehicles, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
Work closely with shipping, receiving, logistics, and inventory teams to facilitate efficient material movement.
Accurately maintain inventory records and participate in stock-taking activities as needed.
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to maximize space and efficiency.
Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

What You Will Bring to the Team :

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred), with additional certifications in forklift operation, safety, or logistics as a plus.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and hands-on experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, inventory management best practices, and the ability to lift and transport heavy materials (up to [weight limit]).

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

Basic computer proficiency or experience with inventory management software (preferred), along with problem-solving skills to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.

Certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM) and experience in industries such as retail, manufacturing, or logistics (preferred).

Hours of Operation :

Normal business hours : 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements :

Indoor and outdoor tasks involving walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and operating material handling equipment.

Exposure to noise, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals, requiring personal protective equipment.

Some roles require hand-eye coordination and specific vision abilities.
