Job Description:
As Engagement Lead – Fidelity Workplace Investing, you lead the day-to-day management of strategy projects critical to the Workplace Investing (WI) business. Our projects aim to solve Fidelity’s most critical business issues, and your role is highly valued by WI business leaders to drive critical thinking of strategic initiatives forward. The project management and business partner relationship support that you provide to the team and our internal clients helps craft the future of Fidelity’s businesses.
These projects are typically staffed with three to six associates over a four to six-month timeframe. Your role is to help scope the project, lead and manage workstreams, develop your team, and partner with senior Fidelity business leaders to drive successful outcomes.

Fidelity Consulting (“FC”) consists of ~100 top talent strategy consultants who work across the Fidelity enterprise to inspire, identify, and define new paths for Fidelity’s future. The Expertise You Have
- You hold an MBA, or equivalent business, strategy, or analytical background.
- The position requires significant management consulting, strategy, or similar experience with at least one year in the project manager role, preferably with a premier consulting firm or in a strategy group.
- You have 7-10 years of work experience, including pre-MBA experience; consulting, strategy or financial services industry experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in the financial services industry, particularly in the workplace investing / employee benefits space.
- You must have outstanding analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, project management and problem-solving capabilities.
- You have both the flexibility and the skill to lead and contribute to teams.
The Skills You Bring
- Experience with project and team management, specifically including strategy development, evaluation of new products and services, and business transformation
- Understanding and knowledge of the workplace investing industry, including but not limited to, industry dynamics, client needs, emerging trends, new products or solutions, and competitive landscape across various areas (e.g., Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, Managed Accounts, Stockplan Services, Health Savings Accounts)
- Understanding of key activities including but not limited to sales, relationship management, product/offering development and go-to-market strategies
- Ability to synthesize analysis and research into strategic insights and practical recommendations, including strategic analysis, financial analysis, operational analysis, and primary/secondary research
- Capable of influencing middle to senior management through both personal interactions as well as the creation and delivery of presentations
- Ability to assess risk and operationalize findings - turning research into actions
- Proficient in quantifying challenges and requirements related to execution
- Driver of decisions in complex environments with multiple partners
- Skilled in building relationships with peers and executives in a variety of capacities
- A desire to develop and mentor people

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
