Vice President, Strategic Business Initiatives
As Vice President, Strategic Business Initiatives, the purpose of your role is to lead strategic programs critical to our business and often central to our multi-year plan. These programs are typically supported by a cross-functional team of associates from AM and our partner organizations (e.g. Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations, Legal, Fidelity Consulting). Programs can last anywhere from 3-24 months. As Vice President, you will scope the initial program, build a team and lead the program to a successful outcome. Recent examples of SBI work include – Asset Management ETF strategy, liquid alternatives, Institutional SMAs and Geode Active Equity Transition.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Experience in the asset management, wealth and / or capital markets industry.
- Experience leading large and complex programs as an internal leader or external consultant.
- Outstanding analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to synthesize complex analysis and research into strategic insights and practical recommendations.
- MBA degree or equivalent is preferred.
- You influence middle to senior management, through both personal interactions as well as the creation and delivery of presentations.
- You assess risk and operationalize findings – turning research into actions.
- You quantify challenges and requirements related to execution.
- You are able to drive to decisions in complex environments with multiple partners.
- Ability to work with ambiguous business problems.

The Strategic Business Initiatives (SBI) team is a team of eight tasked with driving the most strategic and complex programs in Asset Management. The team is highly valued by, and visible to, the AM leadership team. The thought partnership and program leadership that this team provides helps to shape the future of Asset Management.
