Business Strategy and Innovation

This role will join the Business Strategy and Innovation (BSI) team where we unite strategy, experience, and innovation to enhance the overall client experience for advisors, large enterprises, and institutions. BSI plays a critical role in everything from setting and executing on our firm’s strategic direction to developing and delivering powerful business services that help our clients succeed. Together, the BSI team works to establish LPL as the model of choice in Wealth Management.

Institution Growth Strategy & Business Management

Growth Strategy & Business Management is a horizontal function that identifies and executes on new growth opportunities across the channel and supports the strategic direction of the business line with partners and leaders across the Firm. This team is instrumental in allowing LPL to personalize the growth strategy of every institution and provides strategic guidance to inform future expansion of the channel.

Reporting to the Vice President of Growth Strategy and Business Management, this role is highly visible, providing an emerging senior leader with a platform and the autonomy to organize and drive firm-wide change.

Responsibilities :

Shape the strategic direction of the institution business line in partnership with the head of institution business line strategy and other leaders across the Firm.

Lead executive reporting to run the business , building out scalable templates and processes to translate business data into clear articulations of performance, growth, and profitability.

Spearhead data-driven research and summarization for business line leadership to support new opportunity identification, sizing, growth estimation, and profitability analysis.

Support socialization of institution business initiatives and results to Firm Management by implementing rigorous processes around the creation of materials for senior executive audiences.

Requirements :

7 years of experience in financial services or management consulting.

Core Competencies :

Commercially-oriented strategic thinker – Passion for understanding how and why business ventures work (or don’t) with the ability to identify data to model and test hypotheses.

Process-driven – Takes a structured approach to problem solving, starting with hypotheses and identifying key milestones, partners, and data needed to solve problems.

Storyteller with expert PowerPoint presentation abilities – Natural ability to build professional and concise presentations with a focus on telling clear, succinct, and compelling stories.

Independent operator – Ability to take executive-level questions or assignments and proactively develop a perspective to answer the question or progress the work in a timely manner.

Highly organized – Uses tools and systems to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.

Preferences :

Finance Services industry experience – Experience in the Financial Services industry working for a bank, large asset manager, or consulting firm; specific experience in Wealth Management is a plus.

Pay Range :

141,188-$235,313 / year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, and geographic location.
