What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Insurance Reader position at Fidelity National Title?
Reader Job Summary:
-Perform title reading/examining of moderate to difficult commercial and residential title orders.
Read/examine property abstracts which are moderate to complex and prepare a report based on findings.
Prepare initial title commitment.
Provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines.
Review surveys and raise exceptions accordingly.
Read surveys and draft metes and bounds descriptions.
Pay attention to detail and provide thorough analysis and insight to resolve complicated title issues.
Interaction with independent examiners, surveyors, counsel and at times other readers may be required.
Requirement: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience-3 years title related real estate experience.
Working knowledge of legal documents affecting title to real property and methods by which they are recorded, liens, encumbrances, and circumstances that affect title to real property.
Skills-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent problem-solving skills
-Proficient in MS Office.
