Mandatory Qualifications
- At least 7 years - Database management systems and data migration, with a strong emphasis on healthcare EHR systems, particularly those involving complex integrations like Cerner Millennium.
- At least 7 years - Experience in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar database scripting, crucial for the efficient migration of data to new SaaS platforms. Also, skill in using EXCEL, Word, Visio, and other spreadsheet software.
- At least 7 years - Business analysis, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionality.
- At least 7 years - Experience in documenting business process flows and standardize existing and future process flow improvements by conducting data collection and meetings with the subject matter experts to gain full understanding of system usability and documenting.
- At least 7 years - Preparing specifications for data input/output processes
- At least 7 years Resolving complex data-related issues using robust analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
- At least 7 years Exceptional oral and written communication skills, essential for producing clear project documentation and engaging effectively with stakeholders.
- At least 7 years Strong interpersonal abilities to support diverse teams and inspire high productivity and collaboration among team members.
- At least 7 years In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights, applying them strategically within the organization.
- At least 7 years Architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information systems, applications, and organizational structure.

- Support the migration efforts of the integrated resident information system, HHSC IRIS, which includes Cerner Millennium, Dentrix, CareTracker, and RLDatix Risk Module to a new SaaS solution. This includes comprehensive planning, data assessment, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system. The Systems Analyst II will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing workflows that integrate with the existing system.
- Ensuring a seamless transition and optimal functionality of the new system.
- Documenting all phases of the migration process.
- Engaging with clinical and IT stakeholders for requirements gathering.
- Ensuring clear communication throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. (40%)
- Ensure that design complies with HHSC standards. This task also involves:
- Setting up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration. (10%)
- Perform necessary testing of the migration process, including:
- Creating and executing unit test scripts.
- Managing test scenarios.
- Analyzing test results.
- Debugging issues.
- Utilizing established software development and testing standards to ensure the reliability and functionality of the new SaaS solution. (25%)
- Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders, including:
- Immediate managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts.
- Using ticketing systems for information sharing and problem resolution.
- Preparing and delivering presentations and updates to both internal and external audiences to explain the migration process, system functionality, and technical challenges. (15%)
- Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support post-migration. This includes:
- Training end-users.
- Preparing comprehensive system documentation.
- Recommending strategies for optimizing system performance based on feedback and performance metrics. (10%)
