Cartographer / Cartographic Analyst (TS/SCI)

Fides Services is a boutique intelligence analysis consulting firm that has been supporting clients in the Department of Defense since 2013.

Fides Services has immediate openings for a Mid- Level Cartographic Analyst with active TS/SCI clearance on our client's site in Springfield, VA for second shift work (3pm -11pm).

The candidate will be embedded within a government team environment providing cartographic support. The Cartographic Analyst will:

• Support Electronic Nautical Chart/Digital Nautical Chart production
• Work with ESRI geospatial software (ArcGIS) to produce, update, and maintain maritime features.
• Use geodatabases, feature extraction, orthorectified imagery, digital hydrographic survey data, other raster and vector data.
• Support customer's production schedule.
• Perform cartographic and GIS analysis by extracting features from various sources, such as rasterized nautical charts, digital hydrographic survey data, and ortho-rectified imagery.

The successful candidate requires:

• Completion of a military or civilian geospatial intelligence program with a focus on GIS or an equivalent certification or degree in GIS
• A current, active TS/SCI clearance (Please note we are not able to consider applicants who do not meet this requirement)
• A minimum of five years of relevant work experience in geospatial analysis or nautical chart production post completion of training program
• Proficiency in ArcGIS and experience with tasks and processes listed above
• GPC Level I or higher certification is a plus, but not required.
• Prior civilian maritime, Navy, or Coast Guard experience is a plus, but not required

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
