We’re looking for a Fabrication Lead Assembler. This position will be based out of our Oklahoma City, OK location.

General Duties:

Responsible for assigning tasks to technicians as directed by the supervisor, to fabrication, assemble, and repair electrical/electronic components, kits, and assemblies in support of avionics upgrades and build to print projects. Leads a team of technicians, provide training, coaching, and guidance as required to complete work projects safely and on schedule. Builds and maintains a collaborative team environment that is essential for team success.


Essential Job Functions:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, test and repair complex avionics components;

• Assemble, solder, connect and inter-wire electronic components.

• Perform maintenance, alignment, and functional tests of complex avionics systems using test equipment.

• Accurately estimate the total costs associated with manufacturing components, parts, and kits by using company defined standards, historical data, and experience;

• Lead technical resources to ensure delivery of electrical/electronic components, kits, and assemblies while meeting project quality, cost, and schedule requirements;

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics, identify problems or inconsistencies and coordinate with Operations and Engineering personnel to resolve;

• Perform technical tasks with the ability to suggest and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness and improve efficiencies;

• Document work accomplished and reference data used;

• Lead and assist other team members as required;

• Train and mentor less experienced technical staff; Enforce company policies and procedures

• Maintain professional relationship with customer and coworkers and promote a positive work environment

• Accountable for all work under his/her directions.

• Adheres to safety, compliance and regulatory policies and procedures.

• Must be able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays.

Education:

• High School diploma/GED.

• Completion of formal technical training in electrical manufacturing or assembly is required.


Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb/ascend ladders using fee and legs or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

The employee is frequently required to function in close quarters, crawl spaces and shafts that could cause claustrophobia.

A negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required for this position and the incumbent for this position will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
