What are the responsibilities and job description for the Municipal Technician position at Field Force?
- Graduated from a standard high school for GED or have equivalent experience
- Prior water transfer, water/wastewater pumping, or construction related experience
- Commercial Driver’s License
- Certification as a HDPE Fusion Technician
- Mechanical experience
- Equipment operating experience
- Confined space training
- Satisfactory driving record for last 3 years (determined by Company driving standards)
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent customer service attitude and skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form
- Ability to read and follow directions
- Professional phone manners
- Proficiency with computers
- Background in industrial equipment and knowledge of machinery
- Ability to operate yard equipment as required, telehandler/forklift experience preferred
- Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the yard, parking areas and/or buildings. This includes unlocking the yard gates early in the morning and at night. This includes picking up trash as required and basic facility maintenance.
- Coordinate with management in scheduling and delivery of all Keystone owned and/or rented equipment, tools, and supplies to Fieldforce job sites.
- Maintain an orderly yard with equipment stored in proper locations for easy access.
- Inspect all equipment and tools for damages and repair or have them repaired as required
- Performa routine maintenance on all equipment including generators, compressors, skid loaders, pumps, etc. This may include regular oil and gas changes, checking equipment to ensure it starts, etc.
- Arrange for the repair of equipment and tools as needed by outside vendors.
- Receive all incoming goods verifying quantities received against quantities shipped on packing slips.
- Monitor stocking levels and order inventory as required based on usage of equipment and parts.
- Maintain records for shipments/deliveries.
- Provide parts pricing information to personnel when needed.
- Receive, clean and store fleet trucks and equipment in the yard as required.
- Perform weekly and monthly inventory reports and analysis of usage.
- Provide and ensure a maintenance plan for all tools and equipment is in enforced.
- Assist with worker problems or collaborate with employees to assist in problem resolution.
- Project tool-ups and mobilization services, to include procurement, loading, transport and assembling required equipment and water transfer line.
- Construction services such as excavation-type work; basic carpentry; basic plumbing; HDPE pipe fusion, basic mechanical set-ups, truck-driving, and general labor, as needed to support water supply and water & wastewater transfer activities.
- Quality control and quality assurance duties, as assigned, to include the reading of design drawings and specifications to support project planning and project set-ups, layout, and actual construction; and to inspect work to ensure work quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Equipment operation and maintenance, as needed to operate pumps, generators, and water supply and wastewater transfer systems.
- Equipment and troubleshooting systems and repairs, as needed to maintain performance as required under the Company’s contracts with its clients.
- Ability to lift and / or carry up to 75 pounds on a daily basis.
- Ability to walk in uneven, slippery, and muddy conditions
- Ability to work outdoors in all environmental conditions.
- Ability to operate and maneuver on and off an all-terrain vehicle throughout the day
- Workers will be subject to other physical activities required, including climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions.
- Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and range of vision necessary to safely perform job functions
