Requirements
- High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
- Experience as a custodian, janitor, or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents.
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.
- Able to follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Reliable, responsible, good work ethic.
- Attention to detail, conscientiousness, and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to develop a routine for completing tasks efficiently and thoroughly.
- Basic math skills.
- Physically agile, able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Gather and empty trash.
- Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors.
- Clean furniture and fixtures.
- Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment.
- Wash windows, walls, mirrors, and glass.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and showers.
- Keep bathrooms stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and deodorizing spray.
- Keep conference rooms stocked with plates, cups, cutlery, napkins, and paper towels.
- Set up/take down tables and chairs for events and meetings.
- Report repairs that are needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment.
- Pick up or order cleaning supplies.
- Secure facilities after operating hours if you are the last one here.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.76 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
