Then we're looking for you to help us in our upcoming season as our Box Office & Guest Relations Manager! This candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be familiar with POS technology, and have a natural talent for communicating information to our guests in a positive and solutions-oriented manner.
Number of Hours: Full time, Seasonal (Spring – December)
Anticipated Start Date: Late March/Early April
The Box Office & Guest Services Manager is our ultimate resource related to customer service & transactions between the Field Station and guests. As the frontline guest services employee, you will provide fast, efficient and superior customer service - seeking out any solutions that might arise along the way for guests and your department. With thorough experience in determining effective solutions to any customer service issue, this role is the primary contact for customers via phone, email, or in person. Alongside their role in customer service, they also act as the primary box officer for customers and transactions in-person, phone, or email. This role also schedules, supervises, and reviews performance of Box Office, Dino-Bites and Tricera-Shops staff. This position reports directly to the Park Manager.
Primary Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Primary liaison between Field Station: Dinosaurs and guests to perform transactions, ensure crowd control and to resolve customer service issues; determine positive solutions to customer issues
- Serve as primary box officer for all daily operations, education events, special events (including evening hours), etc.
- Manages and maintains Alluvi, our POS system for transactions, Family Memberships, bookings, data gathering/confirmation, and more
- Determine positive solutions to problems which arise with customers, always aimed at providing a stellar experience at Field Station: Dinosaurs.
- Manage Family Membership renewal processes, including: strategy, collaboration on messaging for various customer segments, and serving as project manager for assigned projects (including mailings, emails, etc.).
- Controls daily financial reporting for POS tills; ensures full and accurate accountability for all sales; verifying, preparation and performing daily deposits; read, generate and modify reports, audits and transaction accounting in our ticketing POS.
- Issue and track all donation ticket requests, coupons/discount codes, vouchers and special promotions opportunities
- Serve as a manager on duty in daily operations and special events in regards to identifying customer issues and working towards positive solutions each and every time; recruit, manage and coach seasonal guest service staff
- Proactively maintain necessary supplies of ticket scanners and ticket stock; think through and help develop language for necessary signage related to department
- Maintain necessary supplies and staff coverage for Jurassic Golf
- Will be assigned duties as required which may be outside of this list to improve functions and experiences at the Field Station
Minimum Qualifications
This person must exhibit positive, outstanding customer service in all situations that arise with a customer – good or bad. Thorough experience or understanding of performing transactions on a POS system is necessary.
