Overview
Ideal candidates currently reside in Mid-West or Southern States as position will support the Missouri and Mississippi locations.
The Sr. Regional Manager, TPM/WCM will be responsible for collaborating with the factories to execute the AFNA Continuous Improvement strategy to transform Manufacturing and Maintenance operations to World Class. This role is a key leadership position providing corporate hands-on support to improve productivity through the implementation of TPM/WCM and strategic initiatives. The position provides training, coaching, assisting, and assessment across all active TPM/WCM Pillars and serves as the subject matter expert on Leadership, AM and PM pillar methodologies and integration of other pillar capabilities. The TPM Regional Sr. Manager is a key process leader for the Master planning cycle and associated review cycles. This position will also collaborate with the other groups within the Operations Strategy & Support function and plant leadership team by introducing continuous improvement methodologies. They will drive cultural change in order to improve and sustain operational excellence and production performance KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Operations Leadership and Factory Personnel to lead the development and execution of the factory Key priorities and Master plan.
- Support the OSS/Pillar Leaders in coaching, assisting, assessing, reporting and training of TPM/WCM methodologies
- Evaluate current progress on TPM/WCM Phase status, driving the implementation of Best Practices related to systems, processes methods, organization, staffing, and employee skill levels.
- Propose and monitor key performance indicators in accordance with the Best Manufacturing Practices.
- Support LS pillar as an OSS windows function in order to coach, train, assist GM and plant leadership for enhancing the Pillars integration and the cultural/behavioral changes.
Note: Leadership Pillar means Daily Management System routines / Goal Alignment - 5 practices
- Assist GM(Factory Manager role) and all plant pillar leaders in advancing their Leadership Pillar learning card
- Guide the factories to increase OEE and reduce other productivity losses in equipment, processes or areas of common occurrence.
- Ensure the systematic review all line, processes, and utilities that are critical to the business and those where failure can have an unacceptable impact on safety, personnel safety, food safety, environment, or compliance with the law.
- Encourage close teamwork between all functions (Engineering, Productions, Quality Management, Safety, etc.) to address factory loss reduction.
- Develop and lead a network of Factory SME’s (subject matter experts). Train and guide them in the implementation and leadership of the TPM/WCM program in their factories.
- Support Zero Cost Variance Initiatives and TDC(Total Delivery Cost) initiatives in the factories
- Works with functional and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, gathering data, analyzing and developing improvements
- Assists the OSS/Pillar Leaders in the standardization and development of TPM/WCM pillar systems.
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
- Guide the development and maturity of Factory Natural work teams as they build skills to manage their areas of line responsibility and address Kaizen works to improve TDC savings
- Assists engineering team in designing, assessing, installing, and commissioning specific production processes which involve unique technology, functional machines, and the other cases as needed
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Continuous Improvement, Business management, Engineering or related field from accredited school required
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing, preferably food or CPG manufacturing
- Ability to effectively communicate with management and personnel at all levels
- Ability to work collaboratively and integrate approaches to achieve aligned sustained outcomes
- Ability to guide and develop Natural work team maturity in managing their business outcomes
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast paced work environment, while balancing and adjusting
- Ability for Data Analysis & Project Management/Stakeholder management
- Practical knowledge for application of TPM/WCM in a manufacturing environment
- Ability in the Cost Deployment Pillar – Practices/Tools
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability for Line Balancing and Debottleneck lines
- Strong interpersonal skills, with hands-on experience using Kaizen and other continuous improvement methods and tools.
