What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at Fields Data Recovery?
As an Account Manager at Fields Data Recovery you will be speaking to a wide array of clients and guiding them through our data recovery process. Leading publications have stated that data has overtaken oil as the most valuable commodity in the world, and our team of experts are able to quickly, safely, and securely recover when backup solutions are absent or fail.
Data loss can be an extremely stressful moment for our clients, whether they be a business or an individual. As an Account Manager, you will be provided hot leads in the form of customers who have chosen to use Fields for their data recovery needs. You will be responsible for managing the sales-cycle and maximizing revenue.
What we are looking for in an applicant/candidate:
- Sales, and most importantly, closing experience is a must.
- Data Recovery is highly specialized, so we don't expect anyone we hire to come in as an expert. Having a desire to learn and become an expert is a must.
- An individual who exudes confidence and doesn’t shy away from confrontation when necessary.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without it affecting quality of work.
- Quick on your feet and adaptable to an ever-changing array of clients and responsibilities.
- Confident and clear speaking phone voice.
As a member of our Sales Team, you will be expected to:
- Be highly productive: You'll be provided 4-8 new customers per day, on average, and manage these cases throughout the entire sales cycle.
- Demonstrate sales skill: You'll be expected to quickly have an understanding of persuasive sales, and objection handling ability.
- Be a problem solver: every client has unique needs - no two data recovery jobs will ever be the same. You must be able to come up with creative solutions to the complexities this presents.
- Be coachable: You will receive real-time feedback in performance in the form of call reviews and performance metrics.
- Meet (and exceed!) performance metrics: There are an array of very specific targets - you'll be expected to compete not only with yourself but other team members.

Schedule:
This is a full-time 40 hours per week schedule. Training will consist of a minimum of 8 working hours per day Monday - Friday, during our operating hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time. Scheduled hours may be adjusted based on company need.
Competitive Compensation:
Account Managers have a base salary of $40,000 per year plus an uncapped bonus structure. Targeted earnings are $60,000, including uncapped bonus. Top earners will exceed $80,000/year.
Training:
In order to be a successful Account Manager, one must become competent in explaining our technical services to a wide variety of individuals, possessing varying levels of expertise.
Comprehensive training will be completed with management and other members of staff as needed.
Current Requirements:
While the role primarily allows for remote work, occasional in-office work may be required. Remote work has the following requirements:
- Private (or semi-private) workspace: To ensure productivity and confidentiality.
- High-speed internet: A reliable and fast internet connection is essential for effective communication and task completion.
- Availability during work hours: Candidates must be available and focused on work during designated hours. Therefore, you cannot be the primary childcare provider during these hours.
