This position involves assisting Optometrists with patient examinations, performing preliminary tests, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist Optometrist during patient examinations and procedures.
- Visual acuity assessments and tonometry.
- Conduct diagnostic tests (e.g., OCT, fundus photography).
- Record patient medical histories accurately.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for use.
- Provide patient education regarding eye health, treatments, and procedures.
- Maintain an organized clinic environment, including inventory management of supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to improve patient flow and overall clinic efficiency.
