Fieldstone at Chester Springs – the area’s newest senior living community that opened September 2024 - is seeking compassionate individuals who are passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the team that welcomes the community’s first residents.

As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community. You will be responsible for assisting with maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the residents, guests, and team members.

General day to day responsibilities will include…

• Complete service requests for repair and maintenance of the community and grounds in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Routine maintenance duties may include fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects.
• Assisting with the preventative maintenance program.
• Under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, working on heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems and pumps, refrigeration systems, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
• Performing carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.
• Performing deep cleaning and resident apartment ‘flips.’
• Assisting with housekeeping functions as needed.
• Communicating with the Maintenance Director for needed technical advice, product information, research, and quality assurance guidance.
• Advising the Maintenance Director on the overall condition of the equipment and furnishings of the community.
• Maintaining all tools and repair parts.
• Other duties as assigned.

The right candidate should be a professional who can respond promptly to residents’ needs and interact with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner. This position requires the candidate to work independently.

While we support continued learning and enrichment, and celebrate a culture that encourages learning new skills, there are base level requirements for this position that include but are not limited to:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Technical school education preferred.
• One (1) year maintenance and/or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must have basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment. Possess a basic knowledge of construction principles.
• General understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, and life & safety regulations is a plus. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
