Reporting organisationally to the Senior Manager, Transport Integration, the Manager, Transport Mobility will be a key member of the FIFA26 Event Transportation team, and work in close collaboration with the Operational Services team and other key individuals responsible for delivering all Host City Transportation operations on Tournament Route Network, Tournament Bus System and Bus / Metro / Tram Systems.
THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Manager, Transport Mobility for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Integrates with all functions within Event Transport.
- Support the transport mapping process, including the development of Bus/Metro/Tram Systems maps within Event Transport in close cooperation with involved FIFA 26 projects.
- Work closely with Host City authorities and contribute to the development of operational plans for all Bus/Metro/Tram systems and key transport hubs, ensuring alignment with FIFA requirements.
- Collaborate with Host City transport teams to develop pedestrian routes between venues/sites/facilities (access and egress), road closures, and diversions to optimize vehicle and pedestrian flow.
- Support the schedule and route consolidation plan to ensure alignment with FIFA26 transport requirements.
- Coordinate with all FIFA Functional Areas and transport systems to ensure plans align with overall event transport strategies.
- Work with Host City Last Mile teams, FIFA Spectator Services, and other venue-related stakeholders (e.g., FIFA Fan Fest) to optimize access and egress strategies.
- Support the delivery of transport operations for all test events before the FIFA World Cup 26™.
- Review and prepare correspondence, reports, studies, briefings, and presentations regarding spectator flow and public transport planning.
- Conduct site visits across venues, sites, and facilities to observe, document, and assess transport-related features and operations.
- Perform any other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Transport, Project Management, Event Management, Major Sporting Events, or a combination of education and experience relevant to the position.
- A master's degree is an additional asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of transport-related work experience, ideally within football, sports, or major events.
- Transport operations experience at least one international mega event, preferably multiple world-class sporting events (e.g., FIFA World Cup™, Olympic Games, regional football tournaments, etc.).
- Experience working in multi-functional event organizations and dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and delivering complex projects.
- Experience collaborating with public and private sector partners, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
