Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented BIM Specialist with extensive experience in Revit and design visualization to join our team. In this role, you will assist in managing and implementing BIM processes, focusing on creating and maintaining high-quality Revit models, standards, renderings and other BIM assets to enhance project quality, efficiency and collaboration. You will work closely with our BIM Manager and Project Architects to ensure successful BIM implementation.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for pursuing new systems and ideas, backed up by the technical skill to implement new technologies into the design process. Although experience is an important part of this role, we are very interested in the right person who is passionate, self-motivated, disciplined, and is eager to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain BIM assets and workflows across all project phases using Autodesk Revit.
- Lead the creation and customization of advanced Revit families, ensuring compliance with firm standards and requirements.
- Coordinate with firm management and project managers to ensure model accuracy and consistency.
- Establish, implement, and enforce BIM standards, workflows, and best practices across the firm.
- Perform clash detection, model validation, data management, and coordination using tools like Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
- Provide technical support and training to project teams on Revit workflows and standard practices.
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to streamline workflows, optimize project outcomes, and ensure the efficient use of BIM tools.
- Develop and produce design visualizations in the form of both live and still renderings and VR models.
- Assist in the integration of automation tools, such as Dynamo, for enhanced model functionality and efficiency.
- Manage the organization and distribution of digital files and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or diploma in CAD/BIM Technology, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Revit, with a strong focus on Revit family creation and customization.
- Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo, and BIM 360.
- Knowledge of project visualization tools such as Lumion, Enscape and Twinmotion, and the execution of renderings and VR assets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop advanced parametric families and manage complex Revit models.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to work collaboratively across teams.
- Familiar with cloud-based collaboration platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with scripting and automation using Dynamo or Python.
- Certification in Autodesk Revit or other BIM-related certifications.
- Knowledge of Revit API and third party add-ins.
- Exposure to and understanding of AR platforms and implementation.
