Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations
Packaging Machines / Assembly Machines / Industrial Machinery
You will lead Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Technical Field Service, Project Management and Facilities Management. This position is responsible for all operational functions after the customer’s order has been specified or designed, through delivery and support of our machinery at our customer’s site. Through your leadership and partnership with the Senior Leadership Team you will be tasked to ensure that customer orders are shipped on time, within budget, meeting the customers’ requirements while providing a superb customer experience.
Filamatic has provided industrial filling and integrated packaging systems to the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Diagnostic, Cannabis, Food and Beverage as well as Health and Beauty for over 70 years. The Operations Manager reports to the COO.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the team delivers high quality industrial machinery on time and within budget that meets the customer’s expectations.
- Conduct capacity planning to ensure that realistic delivery promises are provided and kept.
- Lead team development activities including training, coaching and mentoring programs.
- Manage project management, manufacturing (production, assembly, supply chain, machine shop), and technical service.
- Meet metrics, KPI’s and goals for each functional area including quality per customer specifications, project timelines, project profitability (gross margin), and exceptional end-to-end customer experience.
- Leverage exceptional leadership skills and expertise to coach, mentor, and guide the staff in attainment of goals and objectives.
- Analyze and assess past projects to identify weaknesses and conduct a “Lessons Learned” analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Utilize the ERP system to drive operational efficiencies.
- Implement and maintain Lean, Six Sigma, and Toyota Production Systems to improve operational efficiency and drive out waste.
- Oversee and drive all aspects of facilities management and Environmental Health & Safety programs and initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field of study.
- Significant experience in a leadership role leading multiple highly skilled teams in a mixed mode industrial machinery manufacturing environment that successfully meets established metrics, KPI’s, and goals.
- Successfully manage manufacturing, project management and supply chain and technical services teams at an industrial machinery, or capital equipment company.
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated knowledge and experience of continuous improvement including lean six-sigma principles and Toyota Manufacturing System.
- Proven track record of shipping complex industrial machinery or capital equipment on time, within budget, that meet or exceed customers’ expectations.
- Strong knowledge or experience with project management principles, supply chain management, global sourcing, Sales and Operations Planning, mass customization (modular manufacturing) and mixed mode manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP Systems such as IFS, Syteline, or Epicor.
- APICS, CPIM, and CSCP certifications are beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 per year
Benefits: Excellent benefits package that allows you to accrue 3 weeks of annual vacation, 10 paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave, Medical (3 different plan options), Dental, Vision, among some of our benefit offerings. Eligibility for insurance and is the first of the month following 30 days of employment and 60 days for our 401K program.
