Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and professional Associate Attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have up to two (2) years of experience, a passion for civil litigation, and a strong desire to contribute to a collaborative team. This role requires experience in or a commitment to practicing civil litigation, including regular court appearances and motions practice. The role also offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned attorneys and engage in a diverse range of legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including court appearances, depositions, mediations, settlement negotiations, and motions hearings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients with a warm and professional demeanor
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues to support case strategy
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, contracts, and agreements
- Maintain regular communication and strong client relationships through effective and regular updates about their legal matters
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case preparation, trial strategy, and settlement negotiation
- Participate in client consultations and provide guidance based on legal expertise
- Manage a caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of Georgia
- Dedicated interest in civil litigation practice
Skills
- Strong research, writing, analysis, and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple cases and deadlines in an organized and timely manner
- Experience with courtroom appearances or a demonstrated interest in trial work
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to adapt to changing legal environments and case demands

Preferred Qualifications:

- Membership in relevant legal associations or bar sections
