Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking Email Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase customer retention, loyalty, and lifetime value. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, creativity and a deep understanding of customer behavior to drive engagement & retention across various channels such as email, SMS, app push notifications along with various owned media journeys.
A successful candidate will improve ecommerce revenue by improving engagement, repeat purchase rates, referral program adoption, and drive/nurture HVAC service leads from an owned media channels; email, sms, direct mail.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Develop Retention Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive retention marketing strategies to increase customer lifetime value and reduce churn for both the Filterbuy & Filterbuy HVAC Solutions businesses. Utilize data-driven insights and understanding of customer needs/behaviors to identify tailored opportunities for improving customer retention and loyalty.
- Lifecycle Marketing: Partner with the Acquisition team to design and execute personalized owned-media marketing campaigns to nurture customers through every stage of their journey, from onboarding to reactivation. Develop targeted messaging and offers to drive repeat purchases and engagement.
- Email & SMS Marketing: Lead the email marketing strategy, including segmentation, content creation, A/B testing, and performance analysis. Develop compelling email campaigns that resonate with our target audience and drive measurable results.
- Loyalty Programs: Manage and optimize our loyalty program to incentivize repeat purchases and foster customer loyalty. Develop new initiatives to enhance the customer experience and drive program engagement.
- Retention Analytics: Monitor key retention metrics and performance indicators to track the effectiveness & efficiency of retention initiatives. Identify trends and insights to inform future strategy and optimization efforts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Marketing counterparts as well as cross-functional teams, including HVAC, B2B and Customer Experience, to align retention efforts with broader business objectives. Provide insights and recommendations to inform marketing decisions.
- Experimentation and Optimization: Continuously test and optimize retention initiatives to improve performance and drive incremental growth. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to identify new opportunities for innovation.
Day to Day Tasks:
- Owns and manages the Filterbuy and Filterbuy HVAC Solutions email, SMS marketing calendar.
- Continuously optimizes consumer email & SMS journeys while removing inefficiencies.
- Partners with the Director of Lifecycle Marketing on setting the email channel strategy and roadmap.
- Writes and submits email briefs, outlining goals & purpose of each email for the creative and dev teams to use as a guide.
- Drives email segmentation strategy—always working to ensure the right message is going to the right customers at the right time.
- Consistently finds opportunities to increase segmentation and personalization.
- Manages A/B test calendar, tracking performance and sharing results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- 5 years of experience in email/SMS (retention) marketing in direct-to-consumer e-commerce environment
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful retention strategies that drive measurable results
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in email marketing platform Klaviyo, other relevant SMS/direct platforms, and marketing analytics tools
- Understanding of email coding best practices, email proofing and ecommerce integrations
- Tremendous copywriting skills.
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Creative thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
