Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations of our organization. This position is responsible for managing the flow of goods into and out of the warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in a distribution center environment and be proficient in using warehouse management systems along with RF Scanners.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to meet deadlines, follow written and verbal instructions, and work in a fast-paced environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Related experience or training a plus
• Reliable Transportation
• Ability to bend, reach, be on your feet most of the day, and lift up to 50lbs

Duties

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies.
• Process outgoing shipments, ensuring that all orders are picked, packed, and labeled correctly.
• Utilize equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks to load and unload products safely.
• Maintain accurate stock records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order picking and fulfillment processes.
• Organize inventory within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.
• Conduct regular inventory cycle counts to verify stock levels and report any variances.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating equipment and handling materials.

Skills

• Experience working in a distribution center environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and reach trucks for material handling is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of order picking, packing, and fulfillment processes.
• Highly motivted, self starter, able to follow directions.
• Excellent attention to detail for accurate inventory management.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work in a warehouse with an uncontrolled enviroment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
