Roles and Responsibilities
To administrate the procurement process across the organization: Greensboro Filters. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services essential for the company’s operations. This role ensures timely procurement while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness, contributing directly to production continuity and operational efficiency.
Supplier Identification and Evaluation
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery capability.
- Maintain an updated supplier database.
Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Proposals (RFP)
- Prepare and issue RFQs or RFPs to solicit quotes and proposals from suppliers.
- Compare bids and make recommendations based on criteria such as cost, quality, and delivery terms.
Negotiation
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure value for money while maintaining quality standards.
Purchase Order Management
- Create, review, and send purchase orders to approved suppliers.
- Monitor the status of orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
Recordkeeping and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of purchase requests, quotations, purchase orders, and supplier contracts.
Compliance and Policy Adherence
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure ongoing reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Problem Resolution
- Address and resolve issues such as delivery delays, damaged goods, or quality discrepancies.
Market Research
- Stay updated on market trends, new products, and pricing fluctuations to support informed purchasing decisions.
Cost and Budget Management
- Work within allocated budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Reporting and Analytics
- Generate procurement performance reports and track key metrics such as cost savings, delivery performance, and supplier reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of procurement software
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, import/export logistics, and vendor compliance is a plus.

- 3 years’ experience leading projects. Filters experience a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment

- Must be highly mobile, flexible, and able to adapt to a wide range of business situations and cultures.
- Must have a good understanding of modern manufacturing processes and quality programs

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
