Summary:
Final Strike Games (FSG) is seeking a dynamic HR professional to support our teams with our continued growth. The Senior HR Generalist has both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, including, but not limited to: benefits administration, creative contributions to the development of people programs, HR data and systems management, and compliance.
Duties:
- Manage enrollment, changes, and termination of employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, etc. for all U.S. and Canadian employees, and provide ‘high touch’ support for employee benefits questions
- Assist in developing and ultimately overseeing the new hire onboarding process, coordinating cross-departmentally and offering up best practices and creative ideas to deliver an exceptional new employee experience
- Recommend and outline a process for employee change requests and ensure all changes/updates are sufficiently documented and recorded in our HRIS in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor and record time-off appropriately and in compliance with all local, state and federal laws, and serve as the primary back-up for semi-monthly payroll updates
- Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
- Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, balancing compliance and business needs with the FSG culture and employee voice
- Provide ongoing HRIS troubleshooting expertise, working with vendor to ensure system utilization, and partner with internal customers to identify processes and procedures that can be supported through the HRIS to increase efficiency and productivity
- Suggest new procedures, policies, and programs to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole, and to always be improving the employee experience
- Miscellaneous HR related projects as needed
Basic Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a Generalist role
- Relevant knowledge of current HR functions, trends, and best practices
- Excellent written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated success in maintaining highly confidential and sensitive information
- Excellent documentation skills, with strong attention to detail
- Success in maintaining highly confidential and sensitive information
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Suite
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field of study or equivalent experience
- PHR or SHRM-CP HR certification would be considered an advantage
- Game Industry experience would be considered an advantage
