Your Impact
- Oversee the recruitment/hiring process and partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure effective, timely hiring.
- Oversee onboarding for new hires to ensure a positive and thorough transition into the organization.
- Support managers with performance reviews, providing tools and guidance for constructive feedback. Assist with the development and implementation of performance improvement plans as needed Assist with the development and conduct workplace investigations.
- Oversee a smooth offboarding process, including final pay, benefits administration, and necessary documentation.
- Accurately maintain employee records, process HR-related data.
- Actively participate in initiatives that support retention, recognition, and workforce development aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with the Director of People and Culture on strategic initiatives that advance the organization’s mission and goals.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Analyze HR metrics, such as turnover rates, time-to-fill positions, and training completion rates, to inform strategic decision-making.
- Develop and manage employee recognition programs to celebrate achievements, milestones, and contributions.
- Design and deliver training programs for staff and managers on HR compliance topics, including workplace policies, employment law.
- Administer and oversee all aspects of employee benefits programs. Administer open enrollment processes, ensure timely and accurate communication of benefits information.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years increasingly responsible human resources generalist experience.
- Ability to analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and support strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and employment regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively.
- High accuracy in managing sensitive data, compliance requirements, and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and a proven track record of meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient and experienced with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in a nonprofit environment is a plus
