Description
Purpose
Provides portfolio accounting and related services to the company. Reconciles assigned portfolios, creates reports, and completes projects. Will aid in the training of new associates and provide some oversight of daily processes.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities to be performed with or without accommodation
Reconciles assigned portfolios, including portfolio positions, transactions, cash, and cost basis
Participates with the creation, coordination, and management of projects
Create queries to develop reports and enhance processes
Manages special projects
Works with Senior Investment Operations Specialist for project assignments and priority-based needs; accountable for reaching project milestones and completion dates with supervision
Interact with internal clients and respond to specific needs
Supports the operations and investment staff with periodic requests, daily ? Regular attendance is a requirement of this job

Requirements
Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses required to perform essential functions
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related subject, or equivalent experience
2 years of reconciliation experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities required to perform essential functions
Intermediate knowledge of investments
Ability to anticipate and meet client needs and expectations
Ability to operate a personal computer ? Intermediate skill in using computer applications, including spreadsheet and word processing software
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Skill in completing assignments accurately with attention to detail
Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
Work Environment and Physical Demands required to perform essential functions
Moderate noise (business office with computers, phone, printers, light traffic)
Ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time
Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephone
Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work
Preferred Qualifications
Pursuit of advanced degree in related field or extensive industry experience
Experience with portfolio accounting systems
Familiarity with Advent database applications
Demonstrated client-first attitude, aiming to exceed client expectations and focusing on solutions
Willingness to exceed expectations
Proficiency in Excel
