We are seeking a Staff Accountant with credit union or similar financial institution experience to join our accounting team and help ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial reports and statements in compliance with GAAP and NCUA regulations.
- Assist in audits and regulatory examinations.
- Process monthly fixed assets and prepaid items and entries.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
