JOB SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of the Accounts Payable Specialist position is to assist in the day-to-day functions of the centralized payables department.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and credit memos.
- Inputs invoices and credits for payment in a timely manner
- Process payments for check printing
- Posting wire payments
- Review and resolve vendor statements, electronic records and invoice discrepancies.
- Excellent customer service skills must be used for vendor relations, facility management, and home office staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Some college or business education beyond high school preferred.
Experience
- At least 2 years of accounts payables experience in a health care setting is preferred.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with Great Plains is a plus.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures related to accounts payable
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
- Must have strong data-entry and 10-key experience

- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to organized and prepare work in an effort to meet deadlines.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Good problem solving skills.
- This position does occasionally require overtime.
