Position: Donor Gift Processing Specialist
- Location: Colorado Springs, CO (On-Site)
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
- Salary Range: $26.44 - $28.85 per hour (This is an hourly position)
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible)
- Department: Finance & Business Development

About the Donor Gift Processing Specialist
The Donor Gift Processing Specialist ensures the seamless and accurate processing of donor contributions, working closely with the Finance and Development teams to maintain data integrity and compliance. This role is critical to donor relations and financial accuracy, providing a structured and detail-oriented professional the opportunity to support a growing nonprofit.
What you will be doing as the Donor Gift Processing Specialist
- Process donor gifts efficiently, ensuring a 48-hour turnaround for receipt issuance.
- Manage complex donation types, including wire transfers, IRA distributions, stock transfers, and cryptocurrency gifts.
- Oversee corporate donor event gift processing and maintain accurate donor records.
- Maintain and update donor CRM database, ensuring donor data accuracy and security.
- Collaborate with the Gift Processing Specialist to establish and enforce financial controls over donor contributions.
- Cross-train in all aspects of donor gift processing to support peak donation periods.
- Assist in documenting and improving operational policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
What you will need to be successful as the Donor Gift Processing Specialist
- Experience with donor gift processing (Required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 & Intermediate Excel skills (Required)
- Experience working with CRM/database systems (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience in finance, data entry, or donor management
- Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members
