Position: Director of Human Resources
Location: Onsite / Charleston SC
Our client is a well-established Engineering Firm that has been at the forefront of sustainable and impactful engineering solutions for over two decades. With a team of 400 employees, ranging from lab professionals to field experts, they are known for their strong core values and positive company culture. They are seeking an experienced HR Director to join their team. This is an onsite role located at their corporate headquarters.
As the Director of HR, you will oversee all human resources functions and manage the department’s team. You’ll work closely with leadership to ensure that the company’s HR strategies align with its goals and that employees continue to thrive in a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Benefits:
- Review and process biweekly
- Process 401k entries and manage benefits
Recruiting & Onboarding:
- Lead recruiting efforts with ATS, handling the hiring of 50-100 employees annually.
- Oversee interviewing and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Employee Performance:
- Coordinate and participate in employee performance reviews.
- Conduct exit interviews and handle employee relations.
HR Projects:
- Lead efforts to update the HR department, including enhancing HR processes and technology.
- Provide leadership and facilitate management training for team development.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who is both people-oriented and results-driven, with extensive HR leadership experience. A great candidate will have a proven track record in HR operations, recruiting, payroll, benefits, and compliance, with an eye for improving and implementing HR strategies that support business objectives.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in HR leadership, managing teams.
- Strong experience in payroll management, benefits administration, and recruiting processes.
- Familiarity with HR systems
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development.
