An Engineering Company in Charleston is seeking an experienced candidate for a Payroll Specialist role. This person will be handling full cycle payroll and benefits administration for the company.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the new hire onboarding process. Responsible for conducting E-verify process on each new hire.
• Enter and process new hires, changes, terminations (ensuring all documentation and paperwork meets legal compliance.
• Process bi-weekly payroll to one or more operations locations, to include, but not limited to, loading and auditing hours, processing and paying special pay scenarios.
• Process payroll reports for the Accounting Dept.
• Data entry with garnishments and other deductions
• Process and send applicable payroll reports
• Assist with insurance questions during open enrollment.
• Asist with HR Audits – EEOC; W/C.
• Filing of all reports/emails related to Payroll/On-boarding/Employee Relations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent
• 3-5 years relevant payroll experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office required
• Ability to communicate professionally with all levels within the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task and handle confidential information
Compensation and Benefits:
• $65,000 - $70,000
