Cold Formed Steel Structural Engineer (REMOTE)

The position of a Structural Engineer with a focus on Cold Formed Steel is vital within the construction sector, concentrating on the design of safe, reliable, and efficient frameworks that utilize cold formed steel. This role plays a key part in making sure that all engineering designs comply with construction regulations, are sound in technical aspects, and are completed within the specified project deadlines. The Structural Engineer will work from a remote environment, leveraging cutting-edge design methodologies and modern engineering technologies to improve structural integrity. The ideal applicant will collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions that satisfy client needs while enhancing construction practices. Main Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate structures made of cold formed steel materials.
• Perform extensive structural calculations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Generate and assess engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Establish and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Work alongside architects to embed design criteria into structural frameworks.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor project advancements and address design concerns.
• Draft technical reports and documentation for stakeholders involved in projects.
• Guarantee adherence to local, state, and national building codes.
• Coach junior engineers by providing technical direction.
• Take part in client discussions to outline project scope and requirements.
• Adopt innovative engineering tactics to enhance project results.
• Assess and choose fitting construction materials.
• Collaborate with related disciplines like mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Support quality assurance efforts to uphold project standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, concentrating on cold formed steel.
• Expertise in structural analysis applications (e.g., SAP2000, RISA, etc.).
• Thorough understanding of building codes and standards.
• Exceptional AutoCAD capabilities for design and drafting.
• Demonstrated success in project management and execution.
• Familiarity with construction techniques and methodologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Experience with cross-disciplinary teamwork.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of sustainable design methodologies.
