Job Description:
Experienced fitter and fabricator of structural and miscellaneous steel such as building columns and beams &/or stairs and rails. Able to fit and fabricate all assemblies.
The advertised pay rate is for 3 to 5 years experienced fitter in structural and miscellaneous steel.
Fitter / Fabricator will use tablet computer to interpret detail drawings and verify members/detail have been fabricated correctly. Assemble and/or weld complex members. Sets up equipment and welds parts, using mig welding, assembles parts on a table held by a fixture or jig, or bolting according to shop drawings. QC coworkers assemblies and welds. Make repairs when directed of products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. Ability to operate overhead cranes, grinders, chippers, welder, cutting torch, and/or other related equipment. Other duties may be assigned as needed. We intend to hire an experienced structural steel welder and/or and experienced miscellaneous stair and rail fitter welder.
