Job Overview: The Event Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the strategy, planning, execution, and measurement of high-impact events that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation for our social care technology solutions. This role blends event management (logistics, vendor coordination, execution) with event marketing (pre-, during, and post-event campaigns) to ensure every event is a strategic touchpoint that contributes to business objectives. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to orchestrate seamless event experiences while leveraging marketing strategies to maximize attendance, engagement, and post-event conversion.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Event Strategy & Planning
- Partner with Marketing and revenue driving teams to develop and execute a comprehensive event marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives and sales goals.
- Own the end-to-end planning of trade shows, conferences, webinars, and customer-facing events—ensuring each event supports pipeline growth and brand positioning.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align event content, messaging, and goals with key business priorities.
- Research and evaluate new event opportunities (sponsorships, hosted events, speaking engagements) to expand reach within target audiences.
- Event Logistics & Execution
- Manage all event logistics, including venue selection, vendor and sponsorship negotiations, A/V requirements, booth design, catering, staffing, and on-site execution.
- Oversee virtual event production, working with platform providers to ensure seamless digital experiences.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for each event.
- Serve as the main point of contact for event partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all event materials (booth designs, collateral, signage, presentations) align with brand guidelines and strategic messaging.
- Coordinate and manage speaker preparation, session scheduling, and panel discussions as needed.
- Event Marketing & Campaign Execution
- Develop pre-event marketing campaigns (email, social media, nurture sequences) to drive attendance and engagement.
- Plan and execute on-site marketing activations, ensuring a strong brand presence and engagement opportunities.
- Lead post-event follow-up campaigns, including targeted outreach, content repurposing (e.g., blog recaps, video highlights), and lead nurturing efforts.
- Partner with the marketing team to optimize event-related landing pages, registration workflows, and conversion paths.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, events management, or related discipline (or equivalent related work experience)
- 5 - 8 years years experience in event management, preferably in the SaaS or healthcare technology sector
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic event plans that drive measurable results
- Knowledge of CRM software (HubSpot, Oracle, or Sage) and CMS platforms (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.)
- Strong communication skills, including excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills. Must be able to effectively communicate in a calm and collected fashion—with the ability to be persuasive.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively with counterparts in a cross-functional capacity
- Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of traffic, leads and sales
- Proven experience in B2B project management is a plus
- Knowledge of social service and health care preferred
Physical demands and work environment
- This job is based on-site in Austin, TX
- This is largely a sedentary role; standard office equipment is used, such as laptops, monitors and headsets, if needed.
