Senior Manager/Director, Systems Improvement & Compliance (Electrical Utility)
We are seeking an experienced leader to take charge of multiple company-wide programs and tools under the remit of systems improvement and compliance. This individual will lead the implementation and oversight of key systems, ensuring they meet the company s operational goals while adhering to regulatory standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving innovation, efficiency, and compliance across the organization s digital and management platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Systems Development:
- Design and implement strategies for continuous improvement in systems architecture and digital platforms.
- Lead the integration of new systems and tools to support the company's operations and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to align system upgrades and compliance frameworks with business objectives.
IT Services and Vendor Management:
- Oversee the management of IT services, ensuring they meet business needs in terms of efficiency, scalability, and security.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor service-level agreements to ensure cost-effective and high-quality delivery of IT services.
Compliance and Operational Systems Management:
- Develop and maintain policies and tools for document control, CRM, and compliance management.
- Ensure all systems and documentation adhere to relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Support the execution team with project documentation and regulatory requirements.
Leadership and Continuous Improvement:
- Lead a growing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and cross-functional support.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the company s operating systems to enhance efficiency and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Ensure cross-training within the team to provide flexibility and coverage across functions.
Corporate and Executive Support:
- Work closely with the executive team to ensure compliance-related documentation is prepared for board meetings and external reviews.
- Provide operational and compliance guidance to leadership to support long-term organizational growth.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; advanced degrees or certifications in systems, compliance, or project management preferred.
- 10 years of industry experience, ideally in systems improvement, compliance, or operational management.
- Demonstrated success in implementing digital platforms and improving operational processes.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
