RFID Lab Specialist Job Purpose:  The RFID Lab Specialist supports and assists Product Development functions related to RFID and Production systems.   Key Responsibilities: Conduct varying performance tests on materials for the purpose of optimum material selection, incoming material quality, in-process testing and material failure analysis. Create consistent samples/specimens in preparation for testing. Follow industry standard methodologies as well as in-house created procedures for product performance testing. Document all lab activities, record and analyze test data and share test findings in a clear and concise manner that can be easily retrieved for future need.  Maintain work area and lab testing equipment. Engage in regular communication with material suppliers related to product selection, material issues, etc. Assist Product Development with material selection related to new products and any application specific requirements. Assist our Quality Department with Root cause Analysis and preparation for ISO and customer audits. Attend meetings with various groups within Fineline related to new products, customer complaints, product consistency, etc. Develop an ongoing understanding of Fineline’s internal manufacturing processes and equipment capabilities. Stay abreast of all industry developments and best practices.   Experience: The candidate should have prior experience in a lab environment. Familiarity with performing testing and analyzing of test data.   Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent Commitment to excellence and high standards Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities and workflow Strong interpersonal skills. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method. Objective, solution-oriented problem-solving skills.  Can work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.  Resourceful, able to network and connect people to appropriate resources.  Resilient, stays positive and solution oriented.  Perceptive, discovers underlying issues in situations and re-states them in a helpful way.  Self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to work without direct supervision.  Able to work both individually and as part of a team.  Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools.  Ability to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds, experience, and education levels.    Physical: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.)   Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
