Digital Printing Operator

Title: Digital Printing Operator  This is a full-time, hourly position. This position requires the employee to work on-site in O'Fallon, MO. Job function: Operate digital toner-based printing equipment for variable and static label production.     Key Responsibilities & Requirements: Reads job specifications to determine equipment adjustments and material requirements Measures and analyzes equipment to determine accuracy of machine operation Study work instructions and specifications to determine correct method of set up and process control for material conversion Operate equipment and handle material in compliance with established safety procedures while converting materials in a timely and effective fashion Observes equipment operation to detect defects or equipment malfunction Performs routine daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance Follow safety procedures and use required safety equipment Stocks materials, chemicals and supplies for production flow Anticipate and alert management of problems that affect cost, production schedules and/or quality Measure product output during the converting process to ensure conformance to specification and to adjust/control the process accordingly Complete processing of manufacturing order and record material usage and labor within company’s enterprise resource system Clean and maintain equipment and work area Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Indigo or toner based digital printing familiarity/experience is a PLUS Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (email) Ability to communicate effectively 2 – 3 years work experience in similar job type High School Diploma     Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Short-Term, Long-term Disability, & Life Insurance provided at employer expense Paid Time Off & 10 Paid Holidays 401K Plan with Matching Contribution Tuition reimbursement Work Environment: Manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud from equipment.    Additional Information:The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
