Position Summary: In compliance with established policies and procedures the Trust Operations Associate – New Account Set-up is responsible for the establishment of new accounts and updating of client-related data to the trust system. Verifies that the new account data is accurate, complete, and processed promptly. Maintains open communication with colleagues and external financial institutions to ensure that the set-up process is handled accurately and efficiently.
Essential Functions:
- Provides daily trust administration and support in a growth oriented, team focused and transformational environment.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate set up of new accounts and monitors the new account process by tracking the entire account opening process in Salesforce.
- Performs subaccount set-up and maintains existing accounts.
- Follows up with trust administrators with any questions related to the new account set-up.
- Maintains constant contact with other custodians regarding the transfer status of incoming assets to new accounts.
- Responsible for submitting transfer requests, the reconciliation of incoming assets, including updating cost basis, to the prior custodian’s statement.
- Responsible for accurately coding the fees upon opening new accounts.
- OnBase scanning backup.
- Effectively communicate with clients and associates in a professional manner
- Performs other duties as required and assigned by management.
- Regular attendance at the FineMark location designated in this job description, during regular business hours, or assigned hours for the position, is required. This is not a remote-work position
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- High School graduate or GED.
- Minimum of two years of banking and/or trust operations experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Salesforce considered a plus.
- Experience with FIS bank and/or trust applications is considered a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and accurately assess priorities.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Professional appearance and demeanor required.
