Job Description:
The i9 Sports Site Manager is a hands-on role responsible for managing the game-day operations for the local sports programs. The role is responsible for ensuring a positive game-day experience for all involved. This is a part-time position on either Saturday and/or Sunday mornings. Hours typically range from 715am-2PM depending on the location and how many age divisions we have.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task
- Possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of sports, or has prior sports coaching experience
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently
- Creating the i9 Experience at the field or court level
- Calling a game (in progress) due to weather or forfeiture
- Ensuring that the timing of practices/games is on schedule
- Set-up/tear-down required for creating the i9 Experience (bringing equipment out to the fields, setting up the canopy)
- Ensuring all sports instructors are present as scheduled. The Site Manager will assume the instructor role if no official is present
- Monitoring all aspects of the sport in the field or court, including:
- Communicating with parents, participants, or sports instructors.
- Handling any money related to the sale of merchandise and concessions at the canopy
- Ensuring that no alcohol, drugs or tobacco are being used at the field or court level
- Maintaining a safe environment for the children
- Restocking supplies for the next event
- Filing all reports necessary for documenting incidents at the venue level
- Taking pictures of players and coaches during practice and games
As the Site Manager, you are the eyes, the ears and the face of i9 Sports at the venue. The Site Manager is expected to be present and clearly visible at all times throughout the day. It is your jobs to make sure that the consumer (both participants and parents) are well taken care of. Remember that we provide much more than a sports league... .it is an Experience Beyond the Game.
Site Manager Expectations:
- Lives in close proximity to the venue locations
- Has his or her own reliable form of transportation (preferably a truck or SUV for transporting equipment to/from the venue)
- Must have a cell phone & web/email access
- Can commit to being at the field for the entire season
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Arrive two hours prior to the first game (Games are typically Saturday morning and/or Sunday afternoon)
- Wear i9-branded staff shirt and name tag lanyard
- Be prepared with "program guide", rule books, rosters,
- Be positive, enthusiastic, highly visible, and interactive with the parents
- All candidates must pass a background check
